The project was carried out for Gartner Trovato Architects and involved the preparation of information for the BASIX Certificate.

Thermal modelling was used to optimise the performance of the building envelope including walls, roof and glazing. Numerous computer simulations were required to ensure that the design achieved the heating and cooling loads needed for BASIX compliance.

Most importantly, this was achieved without compromising the design concept.
